Luxury apartment of 110 sqm in the vibrant district of Santa Croce districi, few steps from Duomo. Charmingly furnished and recently restored. Suitable for 3+ 2 people. Large living room with sofas, fully equippd kitchen, one double bedroom, with bathroom en suite 1 single bedroom, 1 extra bathroom. A/C, washing machine, internet.

It is located a short walking distance from Ponte Vecchio, Duomo square, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio and from the city's mains attractions.

The area is full of entertainments, easily reached by walk, with great restaurants, pubs, banks etc....

A car parking is within 200 metres. (the parking rate is not included in the rent)

Situated on 2 different levels, the apartment is composed of: 1st floor: living room with 3 sofas (one is a double sofa bed), fully equipped kitchen.

2nd floor: 1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom with bathroom en suite with shower, another big bathroom with shower and bath tube.

Amenities:

Internet connection, TV, Electric Oven, Stoves, Refrigerator, Freezer, Hairdryer, Washing machine, Dishwasher, air conditioned (only in the bedrooms) , Microvawe, toaster, American coffee machine, iron and iron board, independent heating.

Parking facilities:

For visitors arriving by car it is important to know that the center of Florence, which is divided into two sectors, allows only limited traffic; only those drivers who have permits may enter, circulate freely and park on the streets.

The historical centre is a limited traffic zone (ZTL): access is prohibited to non residents' vehicles from Monday to Friday 7:30am - 7:30pm and on Saturdays 7:30am - 6:00 pm. Outside these hours everyone may drive and park in the center. During the summer time there are some further restrictions at night.

The access to ZTL is controlled by electronic detection devices that register the plate number and fine non authorized vehicles. However at the beginning of the access to ZTL there is a special traffic light that inform if the access is allowed or not.

Once entered in the city centre during the off limits time you must park into garages. There are many gargeges in Florence. especially in the San Lorenzo and Station area. The average garage price per day for a medium-sized auto is 25 Euros.

However, I strongly suggest that you not arrive in Florence with a car, unless you are returning a hired car. The train station, Santa Maria Novella, is centrally located, as are the main bus companies. Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Rome and Venice have good train connections to Florence, which is located in the center of Italy and is an excellent base for all excursions.

If you've rented a car to move around Tuscany and plan to visit Florence for a day, it is best to leave your car in one of the many car parks that surround the historical center and avoid entering the ZTL area. IMPORTANT NOTICE about the Floor numbers:

When an Italian apartment is described as being on the first floor, it is on what would be called the second floor in standard American terminology. In Italy we start from the level zero or ground floor. In the offerings of Florence & Tuscany, "ground floor" means that there are no steps to climb (unless otherwise indicated). In the offerings of Florence & Tuscany, "first floor" doesn't mean one flight stairs, but indicates the location of the apartment in relation to building.
